Shared Values
The 'Shared Values' element of Enabling Team management focuses on the establishment of core organisational values that guide the behaviour, decisions, and practices across all of the teams working in the ecosystem. The goal is to ensure high quality, consistency and integrity across all activities and decentralised decisions.
The activities are the same as described in the Product Team section, but the scope is wider, encompassing the entire ecosystem.
- Defining Shared Values: Establishing the core values that guide the behaviour and decisions of all teams in the ecosystem.
- Defining Operating Principles: Establishing the principles that guide the day-to-day operations of the ecosystem.
Anti-Patterns
- Inconsistent Values: Failing to establish and communicate shared values across the ecosystem, leading to confusion and misalignment.
- Lack of Alignment: Not aligning shared values with the overall organisational goals and objectives, resulting in conflicting priorities.
- Unenforced Principles: Establishing operating principles but failing to enforce them, leading to inconsistent practices and outcomes.
