Senior Leadership Role
The Ecosystem Team include similar roles as a Product Team, but at a more senior level. At the most senior level this includes the CEO, Chief Product Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Financial Officer and other C-level executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining Values: Defining the shared values that guide the work of the all of the people in the ecosystem.
- Funding Product Teams: Allocating funding to the Product Teams to ensure they have the resources they need to deliver value.
- Funding Internal Product Teams: Allocating funding to the Internal Product Teams to ensure they have the resources they need to deliver value, and encouraging them to productise their offerings by introducing competition.
- Funding Enabling Teams: Allocating funding to the Enabling Teams to streamline the Stream Teams' work and ensure that the ecosystem is efficient.
- Creating an Ecosystem Vision: Creating a vision for the ecosystem that aligns with the overall organisational goals and objectives.
- Defining the Ecosystem Strategy: Defining the current diagnosis of the market, the areas of focus and the actions required to achieve the ecosystem vision.
- Tracking Product Performance: Monitoring the performance of the product in the market and the performance of the Stream Teams in delivering the product.
- Recruiting: Recruiting functionally aligned team members for the Stream Teams and ensuring effective onboarding to get them up to speed quickly.
- Coaching: Setting clear expectations for their aligned team members in the Stream Teams and providing regular feedback and support to help them improve.
- Managing Performance: Looking after the performance of their aligned team members in the Stream Teams including conducting performance reviews and managing any performance issues.

- Core Values: A document outlining the core values that guide the behaviour and decisions of all teams in the ecosystem.
- Ecosystem Vision: A document outlining the vision for the ecosystem that aligns with the overall organisational goals and objectives.
- Ecosystem Strategy: A document outlining the current diagnosis of the market, the areas of focus and the actions required to achieve the ecosystem vision.
- Product Budget: A document outlining the budget allocated to the Product Teams to ensure they have the resources they need to deliver value.
- Internal Product Budget: A document outlining the budget allocated to the Internal Product Teams to ensure they have the resources they need to deliver value.
- Enabling Team Budget: A document outlining the budget allocated to the Enabling Teams to streamline the Stream Teams' work and ensure that the ecosystem is efficient.
- Internal Charging Tool: A tool that removes the overhead of creating contracts, billing and invoicing for the Internal Product Teams.
- Candidate Pipeline: A continuously updated list of potential candidates for the Stream Teams.
- Detailed Job Descriptions: A document outlining the roles and responsibilities of their aligned team members in the Stream Teams.
- Performance Levels: The different performance levels of their aligned team members in the Stream Teams and the expectations for each level.
- Individual Career Development Plans: A document outlining the career aspirations of their aligned team members in the Stream Teams and the actions required to achieve them.
